Continuing a 200-year History of Safety and Protection.
DuPont takes safety and protection seriously. We continue to innovate and collaborate to help keep our changing world safe. In the face of the ever-increasing global industrialization, DuPont continues to improve upon its materials and standards that help keep all of us safe in the toughest conditions. While no company can solve the world’s protection problems alone, DuPont is proving that, by working together, we can all increase our chances for living on a safer planet.

Tyvek® 400 garments are composed of flash spun high density polyethylene which creates a unique, nonwoven material available only from DuPont. Tyvek® 400 provides an ideal balance of protection, durability and comfort of any limited use fabric technology. Tyvek® 400 fabric offers an inherent barrier against particles (down to 1.0 micron in size). Protection is built into the fabric itself; there are no films or laminates to abrade or wear away. Tyvek® 400 fabric's durability advantage over microporous film fabrics delivers consistently better barrier, even after wear and abrasion.
Tychem® 10000 exhibits excellent chemical barrier properties and offers an extremely durable fabric that is puncture- and tear-resistant. Tychem® 10000 fabric shows at least 30 minutes of barrier protection to 322 challenge chemicals with no observed breakthrough. Tychem® 10000 is specifically developed for protection against toxic, corrosive gases, liquids and solid chemicals. This high-performance chemical barrier fabric is suited for industrial, HazMat, and domestic preparedness applications.
ProShield® 6 SFR is a lightweight, disposable overgarment designed to help protect and preserve primary flame-resistant garments. It provides a barrier against non-hazardous particles and aerosols while not contributing to burn injury. ProShield® 6 SFR garments won't ignite and continue to burn when exposed to a flame source. They are flame retardant treated, not inherently flame resistant, and are intended to be worn over your primary flame resistant garments.
