These optional battery modules are field-installable assemblies that provide approximately ten hours of uninterrupted operation. While recharging, a monitoring circuit allows the batteries to charge in less than 6 to 12 hr and then switches to trickle charge to ensure maximum charge without battery damage. The charge status is indicated on the LCD of the Garrett walk-through detector's control panel and an alarm warns the operator when batteries are low.
- Recommended for use as an emergency battery backup source, where life cycle is limited (200 to 400 cycles)
- 14 A-Hr battery provides approximate 10 hr battery operation per full charge
