Our purpose is to help save lives. With a mission to innovate the equipment and education that keep people safe in high-risk environments, we build the tools and develop the training to help our customers perform their jobs with greater safety and efficiency.
Introducing the all-new CLUTCH, the latest evolution in rescue and rope access hardware that enables the technical rope professional to do more with less. This multi-purpose device was designed and engineered in collaboration by two companies with a collective 90 year history in rope management under heavy loads: CMC, a company with roots in rescue and rope access, and Harken Industrial, a manufacturing company with roots in high performance sailing.
The patented 3D™ locking-bar descender delivers the ultimate in safety, control and performance, in one compact and lightweight device. The 3D features two sliding bars for optimum friction control and efficiency. The horn design works well with 13 mm rope and smaller, making it easy to add or subtract friction as needed throughout the evolution. The frame dimensions allow for larger rescue-sized carabiners to be used without any contact or friction with the rope. The descender can be loaded or unloaded while connected to your harness for rappelling or to an anchor for one- or two-person rescue lowers.
When your team needs to perform high- or low-angle rescue operations, this kit includes the combined contents of our Rope Rescue Team Kit with personal gear for four rescuers (4 x Rescuer Personal Kit) and our new ATOM™ Rescue Harness for departments that prefer a full-body harness.
The MPD allows you to go from lowering to raising without changing hardware. More than nine years of research and development went into the patented Multi-Purpose Device (MPD), which features major innovations in advanced technical hardware for rope rescue professionals. The MPD’s high-efficiency pulley, with an integral rope-grab mechanism, allows it to be used as a lowering device on the main line and belay line systems and be quickly changed over to a raising system without switching out or replacing hardware. The combination of essential features into a single device simplifies on-scene rigging, expediting the rescue.
This compact device can measure force up to 20 kN, and with two sampling modes, the ENFORCER LOAD CELL monitors systems and logs drop testing in high resolution. Along with unique features such as Bluetooth connectivity and swivel attachment points, the Enforcer stands in a class of its own.
